I think I've picked up a new addiction...challenges!
While I've always been a designer...but I've never really delved into
actually MAKING pages with my kits and collections!
Probably because I'm so spoiled having such an amazing Creative Team that brings my designs to life!
(I could never be as good as them!)
It was over the past few weeks that I thought I'd step outside of my comfort zone, try a few challenges
and give creating layouts a whirl.
I'll admit...I'm hooked.
I think I've made almost 25 pages over the past 2 weeks!
Challenges really do help the layout challenged person like myself.
They give you a starting point or directions (love when there are directions)
so one doesn't have to open up a blank canvas and just create.
I'm not that savvy yet.
and lo and behold....another challenge awaited me!
So once again, I put aside what I really should be doing
(like finishing up a new collection before my Creative Team kills me)
and gave the August Challenge a whirl!
This is the "sketch" for the Challenge (there's a new one every month):
This is what I came up with using my Walk With Me - Fusion Kit:
(plus a little brush work of my own on the background)
For those that don't know me, this is my youngest daughter Hope a few summers ago at a friend's "camp"
(they call them "camps" here in Louisiana...where I come from they call them summer homes")
shooting a rifle for the first time.
Looking forward to the next Stuck Sketch challenge!
